The course changed my general perspective of my job from one where I struggled with the thought that in my critical care job I am increasing net suffering in the world from futile care to the perspective that everyday I come to work there’s is an opportunity for and high likelihood of making a positive impact on someone. I went from constantly dreading work and thinking of quitting to being able to enjoy shifts on a regular basis.

The course was practice-changing. I feel much less exhausted after shifts, and my home life has improved. I love that the course touched on home life, sleep, food, breaks, etc. These are all things that we take for granted, or forget about, but are crucial to building healthy patterns surrounding work. It also means that you can take the course and have real, meaningful, and sustainable change.

What an absolute privilege to be able to share in the experience and insight from 2 highly respected physicians who have lived and worked the challenges that acute care clinicians face. Scott and Rob can speak to the issues associated with physician burnout with insight, integrity and vast knowledge. Working in a group of peers made the course validating, collegiate and offered great insight into how the shared challenges for our group that spanned the globe. It made me realize that I was not alone in struggling and gave me some great tools to keep using coming back to. I would thoroughly recommend this course to others.

A lot of the current buzz around burnout in the medical field is nebulous. This course was anything but fuzzy. I came away with a new framework, vocabulary, and set of hard skills to understand the roots of burnout and tackle it methodically. I had high expectations and they were exceeded.
